We were responsible for Mastering Alex’s new album. We worked hard to get a really cool super open, analog, but loud record. I really love how this has a great deal of dynamics and separation in it. It honours the original design and keeps the listeners engaged. Really great production and instrumentation on this. Loved working on it. With any album or E.P we work on, we aim to ensure the songs work really well together, whilst keeping the sonic identity of each.
We were responsible for Mastering Darcey Salt’s E.P. Darcey’s music has really incredible performers and instrumentalists on it, and we wanted to honor that. We were sent a few references to artist’s she likes, and we aimed to give it that similar transient response/feel. We used mostly analog equipment other than the final digital limiter, keeping it smooth, warm, and open…but still competitively loud.
